My role within the SRI involves working with internal and external clinicians to carry out all manner of reviews, including scoping reviews, systematic reviews and meta-analyses. However, most of my work has involved working with the Cochrane Collaboration to undertake systematic reviews that they have commissioned. Before joining NHSBT’s SRI team, I was employed as a Systematic Reviewer at Birmingham Clinical Trials Unit, based at the University of Birmingham. Here I initially worked on systematic reviews in the Women’s Health field, which then broadened to cover other areas, such as gynaecological oncology and surgery. I completed an MPhil at Aston University in 2006, with a thesis looking at the Evidence Based Pharmacogenetic study of the use of Antipsychotics in the treatment of Schizophrenia.
