My role involves developing and undertaking a variety of systematic reviews, including rapid reviews and scoping reviews. Much of the work involves updating Cochrane reviews with newly published data. Within my role I also train and support PhD/DPhil students and Fellows as they undertake reviews that fit within the NHSBT priorities. Prior to working with the SRI and NHSBT, I worked as a systematic reviewer in the development of NICE guidelines, mostly in the field of Obstetrics. I previously worked for Dundee University in Chronic Pain, and Oxford University in Long Term Conditions. I completed my PhD in Edinburgh, looking at the impact of exercise training in people with chronic kidney disease, in improving muscle quality and quality of life.
